About the Founders: Clayton and Antionette:

Clayton is passionate about nature.  He has grown up in the African bush and has many years of experience, a great deal of this time spent focusing on his first real love snakes and reptiles.  This interest was clear from a very young age, earning him his reputation of "snake man" in Warmbaths. Clayton became the man to be phoned to find, catch and remove snakes and reptiles all over the province.

Due to this passion for nature Clayton started collecting, reading and researching everything about the wonders of nature and the creatures in it, thus becoming very knowledgeable in his field.

As a teenager Clayton developed a home rehabilitation centre care taking of a variety of Africa's wildlife.  Just to name a few, birds of prey, monkeys, mongoose, and various antelope species (kudu, duiker, blesbuck) then finally professionally progressing to some of the worlds big and small cats, like African Lions, Bengal Tiger cubs, Caracal (African lynx) and African Wild Cat.

Now recognised locally and internationally by FGASA and D.E.A.T Clayton is a qualified Field Guide, Trails Guide and Tour Guide.  His qualifications include tracking, advanced weapons handling, dangerous game theory, Trails Guide theory and extensive qualifications in the field of herpetology (snake handling, husbandry, catch and release), snake bite first aid and is the Area Agent for S.A. Nature Conservation for reptile removal.

His lust for life and love for people of all ages makes him an enthusiastic fun loving guide, with huge knowledge to share.

Antionette has always loved the outdoors and from a very young age has had an affinity with all its creatures.  From the tender age of seven she joined  the Voortrekkers (SA equivalent to girl scouts)  to learn about trees, plants, insects, birds, animals and stars, whilst spending much of her time camping and hiking in the African bush.

Antionette’s key interest and love was the rehabilitation, care, and well being, of sick and injured wildlife.  These small creatures would always find there way home with her where she would nurse them back to health to release back into the wild.  Starting with birds and gradually progressing to squirrels, ostriches, caracal (African Lynx) Young Kudu, and Nayala.  Eventually Antoinette had the privilege to work professionally with some of the world’s big cats, African Lion cubs, Bengal Tiger cubs and the fastest of them all the Cheetah.

Working with these majestic beasts became a passion and calling.  Over the years of working hands on Antionette gained extensive knowledge on their behaviour and psyche,  thus allowing her to get close and understand their body language, moods and overall family interaction.

Also recognised locally and internationally by FGASA and D.E.A.T. Antionette is qualified as a Field Guide, Trails Guide and Tour Guide.   In her years of guiding she has obtained qualification such as track and sign interpretation, basic weapons handling, trails guide theory along with animal care and husbandry, first aid and a number of snake handling courses.
